Irving Penn at KUMU

There is one very special exhibition at KUMU art museum. You can visit it until 6th October 2013, so if you haven't managed to go there yet, there's still time. Everyone who is even a little bit interested in photography, fashion and advertising should have heard his name. I.Penn has done sooo many photos for Vogue, his first Vogue cover was in 1943 and his last cover was in 2004 (all total he has done ca 200 Vogue covers). I could write so much about him, but I let some of his works speak for himself. Especially I love the black and white portrait photos. Inspired of this I had some portraits made myself...but those I will publish on next post.

Hetkel on KUMUs üks väga eriline näitus üleval, mida saab külastada kuni 6.oktoobrini 2013. Kõik, kes on vähegi kursis fotograafia, moe- ja reklaamimaailmaga, peaksid Irving Penni nime teadma. Tema esimene Vogue kaanefoto avaldati 1943 ja viimane 2004 ning nende vahepeale on jäänud ca 200 avaldatud Vogue esikaant. Temast võiks väga pikalt kirjutada, kuid ma lasen mõningatel tema töödel ise ta eest kõnelda. Eriti meeldivad mulle must-valged portree formaadis fotod. Nendest inspireerituna tegin ka ise mõned portreed, kuid neid näitan järgmises postituses:)
